Conversation Hour (4/7)

Today in class we reviewed food again, yum!

Students worked in pairs, listing an example of one type of food for each category listed below:

1. Green vegetable (verdura verde)
2. Other vegetable (outra verdura)
3. Canned food (produtos em lata)
4. Food that comes in a jar (comida que vem numa jarra)
5. Type of fish or meat (tipo de peixe o carne)
6. Something salty (salgado)
7. Something sweet (doce)
8. A dairy product (produtos lácteos)
9. Herbs or spice (erva o tempero)

Next, students exchanged their "ingredient list" with another pair and were asked to make a three-course menu using only the ingredients from their new list. A three-course meal includes:

- An appetizer/starter (uma entrada)

 - A main dish/entree (um prato principal/forte)

 - A dessert (uma sobremesa)

After each group presented on their menu for the class, we voted on which menu looked the most tasty.   In this class, Leonara and Ildemaria's menu was voted the most tasty :)
